Nathan Funk

Senior Architectural Project Manager, Assoc. AIA, LEED AP

Nathan Funk is a Senior Architectural Project Manager and Designer at Via Design. He joined the firm in 2010 and became a member of the leadership team in 2025. Nathan works closely with clients from the earliest stages of their projects, building trust and ensuring the design and delivery process remains collaborative, transparent, and enjoyable from start to finish.

In addition to leading projects, Nathan plays a key role in business development and strengthening relationships with clients, consultants, and construction partners. He provides high-level oversight across a wide range of project types and scales, guiding work from early visioning and master planning through design, detailing, and project management.

Nathan’s approach is grounded in strong relationships and a hands-on design process. Known for his keen attention to detail and collaborative style, he enjoys working closely with clients and project consultants and partners throughout every phase of design. He is passionate about the art in architecture, and frequently utilizes hand sketching for creative exploration of artful ideas and solutions. His close involvement in each project during the construction phase helps ensure the final details reflect the original vision for Via’s clients.

Nathan is a LEED Accredited Professional and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business from Calvin College and a Master of Architecture from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. His work has received multiple design awards and has been featured in a variety of publications.

Nathan is a husband and father of three. Outside the office, you’ll likely find him with a PrismaColor marker, guitar, or golf club in hand.
