At Via Design, the work we do is shaped by the people who support it every day. As a Grand Rapids-based architecture and interior design firm, collaboration is at the heart of how we work. With that in mind, we’re pleased to welcome Michelle to the Via team as our new Office Coordinator. Michelle brings a background rooted in communication and organization, playing an essential role within our administrative team.

Getting to Know Michelle

Michelle graduated from Michigan State University with a degree in Advertising and spent eight years living and working in Chicago. During that time, she discovered a passion for office and administrative operations, finding purpose in supporting teams behind the scenes and helping organizations function seamlessly. Today, she’s proud to call West Michigan home, where she enjoys life with her husband, Tyler, her twin daughters, and her dog, Ella.

Her Role at Via Design

As Office Coordinator, Michelle supports the day-to-day rhythm of the studio,  helping ensure the office operates with clarity and consistency. From internal coordination to fostering a welcoming environment, her role enables the broader Via team to stay focused on creative design and thoughtful execution. Chances are, if you call or stop by Via, Michelle will be one of the first points of contact, offering a warm welcome.

Michelle was drawn to Via Design by the firm’s values and mission, as well as the opportunity to work with a local Grand Rapids practice that prioritizes relationships and collaboration.

Inspiration & Interests

What inspires Michelle most about architecture and interior design is seeing the many ways a space, or a single detail, can be interpreted and designed.

Outside the office, Michelle enjoys finding the best vanilla latte and breakfast sandwich in town, walking trails with her family, reading, and exploring local breweries.

Looking Ahead

As she settles into her role as Office Coordinator, Michelle looks forward to getting to know the full Via team and seeing how a multidisciplinary studio works together. Supporting a 35-person firm offers a unique perspective, and she’s eager to understand how each role contributes to the bigger picture. She’s also excited to be part of the client experience, greeting guests at reception and supporting the day-to-day operations of the studio behind the scenes. We’re pleased to welcome Michelle to Via Design and look forward to the steady support, care, and organization she will bring to the studio.
