Located in East Grand Rapids, this comprehensive main-floor renovation reimagines a traditional family home through a thoughtful balance of timeless architecture and modern living. Via Design reconfigured the existing layout to improve the flow among the home's primary living spaces, while a significantly expanded kitchen became the heart of the design. The new plan creates a more cohesive and functional main level, enhancing everyday family life while preserving the home's classic character.

Traditional detailing is paired with a relaxed, updated material palette that is both timeless and approachable. Warm wood ceiling beams, custom cabinetry, brass accents, expressive wallcoverings, and a palette of soft neutrals layered with blues create a thoughtfully composed interior without sacrificing comfort.
