Via Design refreshed the main floor of this East Grand Rapids home, creating a warm and timeless interior that feels true to both the character of the house and the family who lives there. Interior design services encompassed the kitchen, foyer, dining room, powder room, and adjoining living spaces, with an emphasis on improving function while preserving a classic, traditional sensibility. The reconfigured kitchen introduces new cabinetry and a furniture-like walnut island, with curved ends, metal mesh detailing, and a traditional ogee countertop edge that brings softness and character to the space.

Throughout the renovation, natural wood, handmade tile, unlacquered brass, grasscloth, and patterned wallcoverings bring warmth and character to a refined palette. Family heirlooms, collected artwork, reupholstered furnishings, and personal accessories were thoughtfully incorporated alongside new pieces, allowing the home to evolve without losing what made it meaningful. The result is polished yet lived-in, with a sense of history, personality, and permanence.
