Via Design transformed key interior spaces at Grand Rapids Christian High School into warm, welcoming environments that foster connection and community. Inspired by the inviting atmosphere of a casual café, the design creates a comfortable "hang out" feel that encourages students to gather, relax, and feel at home throughout the day.The renovation centered on thoughtfully selected furniture and flexible seating, including tiered steps reimagined as bench-style seating, along with cozy nooks and small group areas for both collaboration and quiet reflection. Seating groups were carefully incorporated by working closely with stakeholders and committees to align donor intentions with the overall vision. A palette of warm tones, balanced with the school's signature blue, keeps the space cohesive without feeling institutional. Scripture was integrated into elements of the design, reflecting the school's mission and values, resulting in an environment that supports students academically, socially, and spiritually.
