Welcome to the Via team

Natalie Addicott

Meet Natalie Addicott, Resource Library Assistant

We're pleased to welcome Natalie Addicott to the Via Design team as our new Resource Library Assistant! With a background in creative advertising and a personal passion for textiles, sewing, and upcycling, Natalie brings an appreciation for materials and an enthusiasm for the creative process to her role.
A recent graduate of Michigan State University, Natalie earned her degree in Creative Advertising with a minor in Business. Originally from Norton Shores, Michigan, she grew up near Lake Michigan and developed a love for the outdoors, particularly sunsets along the lakeshore.

Supporting the Design Process

As a Resource Library Assistant, Natalie helps maintain and organize Via's extensive collection of materials, finishes, and product resources. Working alongside our design team, she assists with sourcing and tracking samples, coordinating with vendors, maintaining product information, and keeping the library current and accessible.

The resource library plays an important role in the design process, giving our architects and interior designers access to the materials and information they need to explore options, evaluate finishes, and make informed selections for each project. Natalie's work keeps these resources organized and readily available, supporting an efficient, collaborative process from initial concepts through installation.
Natalie was first drawn to Via Design after exploring the firm's portfolio and seeing the range of materials and details incorporated into its projects.

"I was impressed by how unique each space was and how much thought went into the details, from the fabrics and patterns to the overall design and layout," she shares. "I liked the idea of being part of the team behind the scenes, supporting the process, and getting to see these projects come together."

Her responsibilities also extend beyond the library, including inventory coordination, deliveries, and support during project installations and move-ins.

A Creative Perspective on Materials

Outside the office, Natalie has long been interested in sewing, crafting, and upcycling. She also runs her own small business, Made by Nat, where she alters clothing and transforms secondhand garments into customized pieces.

"I love taking something old and preserving it as best as possible or turning it into something new and unique," she explains.

Her interest in working with fabrics, patterns, and textures carries over into her appreciation for interior design. Natalie is particularly inspired by how different materials can give a space its own personality while supporting its overall function. She also draws inspiration from sewing and upcycling creator, whose bold patterns, unconventional designs, and creative techniques show the possibilities of reimagining existing materials.

Getting to Know Natalie

If Natalie could design a space anywhere, she would choose Marquette, Michigan, in the Upper Peninsula. After a memorable family trip to the area, she was drawn to its peaceful setting and proximity to Lake Superior. Her ideal project would be a gathering place for family that celebrates the surrounding landscape.

Closer to home, Natalie's dream space would include a dedicated sewing and craft room with a generous worktable, plenty of storage, and abundant natural light. She would also incorporate a distinctive cabinet or shelving unit to display the trinkets and keepsakes she's collected over the years.

As she settles into her role at Via, Natalie looks forward to learning more about the architecture and interior design industries, developing her organizational and product-related skills, and gaining firsthand experience with the many stages of the design process.

We're excited to have Natalie on the team and look forward to the creativity, curiosity, and support she'll bring to our studio.
